Paul is a qualified career banker with decades of experience at major banks including Lloyds and Natwest/RBS leading large teams specialising in corporate and commercial lending. Latterly he has been a public servant and executive at UK Export Finance – the UK’s Export Credit Agency where he led a major market failure intervention, CEO of Reliance Bank (owned by the Salvation Army) where he built a unique business model focused on enabling social impact and latterly as CEO of Guaranty Trust Bank UK one of the largest Banking Groups in Africa with a mission to bring prosperity to Africa. Paul is also an experienced Non-Executive Director and Audit/Risk Chair having held roles in education, and Maritime infrastructure in both the public and private sectors. Paul held two direct ministerial public appointments.
