New non-executive director Sally Cabrini

An experienced leader in transformation has joined the NHG board as a non-executive director and chair of our People, Culture and Governance Committee.

Sally Cabrini, who joined the board today (1 May), has wide-ranging experience in regulated utilities, services and manufacturing in the UK.

As well as supporting the board’s work around governance and oversight, she will lead the committee that focuses on NHG’s people and culture, ensuring it supports our values and commitment to delivering good services to our residents.

The committee will also be strengthened by two new independent members who also began in their roles today.

Sally said: “I am excited to be joining NHG at this important time, when it is making great progress against its regulatory compliance plan and driving a resident first approach to meeting the needs of all residents.”

Brendan Sarsfield, chair of Notting Hill Genesis, added: “I look forward to welcoming Sally to our board and benefiting from the wealth of experience she brings across a range of areas. It is so important that we get our culture and values right, as that will embed our Resident First principles and ensure we provide the level of service our residents want and deserve. Sally’s leadership of the committee will be instrumental to our success over the coming months and years.”

Sally has expertise in delivering business transformation programmes, internal restructuring and large-scale technological change. She was previously Transformation, IT and People Director at Interserve Group Limited, where she was responsible for a major transformation programme during a period of significant strategic challenge.

Prior to that, she was a senior executive at FTSE 100 company United Utilities, responsible for IT and people.

Sally is currently independent non-executive director, and chair of the Remuneration Committee, for First Group PLC, as well as Pro-chancellor and senior independent governor at the University of Exeter.

Ariam Enraght-Moony and Maureen Nicholas have both joined the People, Culture and Governance Committee, and each bring a huge amount of experience. Ariam is currently Chief People Officer at TSB, while Maureen has sat on the People Committee and People Governance and Remuneration Committee for two other G15 housing associations, Optivo and Southern Housing.
