We’re proud to announce our staff network Cultural Energie has won the Race Network Colleague Group Award at the G15 Ethnicity in Housing Awards.
On Wednesday evening, the G15 group of London’s largest housing associations held the G15 Ethnicity Awards at Banking Hall in the City of London.
The awards recognise and celebrate the achievements of ethnic minority colleagues in the housing sector.
Cultural Energie scooped the Race Network Colleague Group Award despite strong competition from nine other contenders in the category.
This was a fabulous event, with a great atmosphere in truly stunning surroundings.
Members of Cultural Energie were joined by group director of development John Hughes, group director of central services Vipul Thacker, chief information officer Rajiv Peter and, along with colleagues from the G15 Accelerate programme, diversity champions and other nominees.
Although this was the only award we won, Notting Hill Genesis colleagues were shortlisted in most categories – which is in itself an amazing achievement. All our nominees should be feeling very proud.
Our shortlisted colleagues were:
- Colleague Resident Focus award: Lorraine Gilbert, head of resident involvement and engagement
- Outstanding Achievement award: Alayna Brown, talent and learning officer
- Supportive Colleague award: Richelle Nelson, PA to chief operation officer
- One to Watch-Future Leaders award: Arnold Smith, senior project manager
- Inspirational Leader award: Vipul Thacker, group director of central services
